Hockey New Zealand today announced a new 2-year sponsorship agreement with New Zealand home and beauty brand, Scullys.
Scullys began as a true grassroots success story, with the brand having its humble beginnings in rural New Zealand, in the small Manawatu town of Bulls, where Jude and Gerry Scully, the original owners, manufactured lavender-based skin care products in an old wool shed on their 5ha property.
Now selling their beauty products all over the world, with new injection of oversea investments and establishing a partnership with New Zealand Trade Centre as their export arm, Scullys wanted to align their brand with another New Zealand success story and help support the women’s hockey programme. They hope to grow their brand awareness in markets the Vantage Black Sticks will play in, in the upcoming FIH Pro League, starting January 27, 2019.
“We’re delighted to appoint Scullys as the Vantage Black Sticks Women’s Official Skincare Partner through to the end of 2020. Scullys is a wonderful success story of growing a small locally made NZ brand and taking on the world with a quality product”, said Hockey New Zealand CEO, Ian Francis.
“This desire to make the most of their potential and take on the global players in the skin care industry aligns well with our values and vision for our Vantage Black Sticks programme and their aspirations to medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020”.
Scullys were equally delighted with the new partnership, said New Zealand Trade Centre Managing Director, Wendy Mo, “Scullys Home & Beauty is delighted to announce our support as Official Supplier & Skincare Partner to the Vantage Black Sticks Women.
For 25+ years, Scullys has played an active role in Corporate Social Responsibility. We are committed to engaging and supporting initiatives that share our strong family and community values. This sponsorship is an expansion of this.
We are proud to be both associated and sponsoring the Vantage Black Sticks in their endeavours”.
The players have already benefitted directly from the new arrangement with Scullys product gift packs being given to all the New Zealand women’s players who travelled over to London for the recent Vitality Women’s Hockey World Cup.
